Who is Engage Safety Management?

Managing Director, Drew Weaver is an experienced Health and Safety Professional with a passion for safety and skilled in developing systems and strategies to achieve a safe workplace.

Having started his mining career at the ERA Ranger Mine in the Northern Territory, where he was involved in the Environmental Management Team.

He then transitioned into a role as a Maintenance Safety Training Officer, a role which also incorporated managing the site Apprenticeship Program.

It was around this time he developed his passion for safety as the result of a workplace injury to one of the site’s apprentices.

Since then, Drew has gone on to develop his knowledge, experience and skill set across a wide variety of different types of mining to include coal, metal, above and underground operations, both in Australia and Internationally.

Through Engage Safety Management, Drew now provides other companies with assistance to improve their workplace safety performance, utilising this knowledge and experience he has gained.​​​​​​​
